After a run of bad results the under 14 steadied themselves this week with a narrow loss away to Castleisland under lights Wednesday evening . Castleisland got the better of a sporting encounter winning by 5 nill but Tralee showed great heart in defense and you could see we had more to offer . Credit to both teams the game was played in a tough sporting manner and both teams and clubs came away with positives from the meeting .
Our lads had a light session and a chance to regroup on Saturday before meeting a solid well drilled Abbeyfeal today on Tralee . in front of a decent home crowd Tralee came out on top with a scoreline of 18 to 12 . Again it was a cracking game no quarter asked or given. Again both clubs were able to take something out of the game and again played on a decent sporting manner with both teams performing well .
Our Lads showed us more of what they are capable of with another big improvement .
Rob, Aiden and the other coaches are doing great things with this group and it's starting to show . Well done to all involved .

On a very sunny but bitterly cold Tuesday evening the final of the West Munster u14s Cup was played between Abbeyfeale and Tralee at Castleisland Rugby Club grounds.

There was very little between both sides right up to the end. With about ten minutes to go, and down by 3 points, Tralee got a penalty which was calmly slotted over and saw the sides draw level. However, the Tralee side was devastated when Abbeyfeale got a penalty, just before the final whistle, which sailed over the bar to give the Limerick club the West Munster Trophy.

Congratulations to Abbeyfeale on their win but equally, well done to the Tralee Squad. You should be proud of reaching the final and of your performance on the night. As someone else has said already: you will be back.
