Pan Munster U 18 Cup Quarter Final
Sunday 12th March 2017
Killballowen Park Bruff

Bruff RFC. 10
Tralee RFC. 13

Cup rugby at its best. Tralee RFC had a wonderful victory in a pulsating match played in sticky conditions in South Limerick to reach the semi final of the cup. The home team owned the ball in the first 20 minutes of the match but couldn't breach our line as our defence was just terrific and clinical. Wave and wave of attack was met by brick walls from our lads.

Tralee Under 18s are travelling to Newcastlewest on Sunday for a play-off game to see who will secure a spot in the Pan Munster Cup. They would welcome your support. Kick off is at 12noon.

Tralee U 18's put the last weekend's disappointment behind them with a comprehensive victory over their Limerick City opponents. From the off the heads were tuned like a man who had to fight for their lives. Captain Mikey Lyne made a very welcome return to the team, after his absence due to illness last week, he picked up from the back of the scrum and gave a smashing offload to Joseph O'Connor who crashed his way over and converted it as well. Soon afterwards burly prop, Stephen Benjamin, got the first of his three tries, with another pulsating run from close in. Joseph converted. ‎Speedy winger Jeaic O'Sulleabhain got one of his two tries soon when he ran a great line to score in the corner. Our other winger, Hugh Healy, capitalised on a mistake by the visitors from the kick off and sped half the pitch to score a lovely individual try. Soon afterwards we scored the try of the match. Stephen Benjamin got a real beauty after a top class line out throw by Jordon O'Shea to agile second row Michael Leen Vega who in turn fed Stephen. Forwards coach, Ciaran Carmody, was very happy with that move.

Tralee RFC Under 18's dispatched with ease the opposition on a mild winter day in Tralee. The win was easier than expected but well deserved all the same.
Our lads were well organised and pretty clinical on finishing the moves.
