Johnny Morath returns
home for his brothers wedding later in the month. A couple of presentations from the Club
Captain Bryan O’Sullivan and Club President Leslie Benner were made to him in
the clubhouse after the Waterpark Munster Cup game. We wish him well
and fair sailing as he returns down under and thank him for all the help he
gave to the club for the season.

Tralee 35 Middleton 8
The recent bad weather and pitch usage made the ground
very heavy for this game but in fairness all Jay’s crews efforts were not in
vain and while it was tough going it was still playable.

Tralee travelled to Old Christians this weekend, for the
third weekend in a row these clubs were meeting even if it was at different age
levels. The Kerry side knew they were in
for a battle and with Liam Quaid (No7) and Tommy Culloty (Sub) for the visitors playing against their brothers
Tommy Quaid (No 10) and Brendan Culloty (No 5) this was truly a family fight!

The Tralee Senior J1 team travelled to Richmond on Sunday and were lucky to bring home a bonus
point loss to the Limerick side. This was a tough fought encounter with the
visitors getting little pleasure from the encounter. It could have been won by Tralee but for a
number of unforced errors allowing Richmond
to sneak home with a 13 to 6 point victory.
This bonus point will probably prove to be most
important at the end of the season. Tralee now needs to refresh the commitment of the squad
for the remaining matches of the season and get back into a winning frame of
mind. |
